Kincaid Furniture Company refers to itself as “An American Dream Come True,” and this is no exaggeration. J. Wade Kincaid began assembling dresser drawers at the age of 14 for a small furniture company in North Carolina. Deciding he wanted to work for himself, he slowly saved money over time and eventually purchased his own grocery store. But it didn’t take long for him to realize that furniture creation was his true calling, and in 1946 he purchased a small furniture company using $10,000 from his savings and from pooled funds from his family. From these humble beginnings, the Kincaid Furniture Company was brought to life.

Nearly 60 years later, Kincaid Furniture Company has gone through a number of changes, all in the interest of serving their employees and their customer base. They were the first furniture company to employ the use of their own over-the-road trucks, and in 1983 they became a public company, which led to massive growth and expansion. Kincaid is proud to say that many of its current employees are third generation, owing to their dedication to and their respect for their American workforce. Fittingly, J. Wade Kincaid was posthumously inducted into the Furniture Hall of Fame in 1996.

Today, Kincaid Furniture continues its “American Dream” by creating high quality, reliable home furnishings for their dedicated customers around the world. They pride themselves on having created solid wood furniture since their inception in 1946.
