This is a nice bed. But it comes with only THREE (thin, wafer-like) slats for mattress support -- not nearly enough. The first night, I was lying in bed; rose from lying down to sit, so that I could stand up (in the middle of the bed, over a slat) and the support slat split in two. I weigh 130 pounds.
The next day, I went to Lowe's and purchased six 2"x2" balusters, measured and cut them, drilled pilot holes for screws, purchased 12 wood screws, and NOW my twin mattress has the proper support it needs. It cost me only about $25, but it took half a day to get that all done.
When someone who is as relatively small as I am can crack a slat simply by sitting up, then the proper support system has not been supplied. Please alert the manufacturer to this issue right away. My issue was one of (minimal) expense and inconvenience: for another person, it could create a serious safety issue if the mattress collapses because of improper support.
